Athletic Greens Review (AG1): My experience after 30 days (1)

UPDATE for September 2021:Athletic Greens has recently been renamed and is now called 'AG1'. It's the same formula, only the branding has been significantly revamped - it looks great!

My experience with AG1 Athletic Greens

I have bought and tried Athletic Greens three times - each time they changed brands.

First purchase from Amazon (UK) in 2018 when it arrived surprisingly sat in a bathtub with old branding resembling Athletic. A check from the official United States website at the time showed Athletic Greens in a dark blue bag instead of a tub.

As it turns out, the company recently rebranded (July 2018) to use much better and cleaner bags to look like a brand for a healthier lifestyle.

In September 2021, Athletic Greens changed to AG1 and replaced the ceramic tub with a metal canister to store the powder in the cooler.

Athletic Greens Review (AG1): My experience after 30 days (2)

It is not easy to buy supplements to send to Malaysia. So the second time I bought from the official US website, it was shipped to me by another company. This workedsuper expensive for me - I ended up paying $125 for one bag that only lasted 30 days!

I was excited to try Athletic Greens, immediately enjoyed the taste and experienced no side effects. After a month of continuous consumption, I have not noticed any significant changes in my well-being or necessarily in my energy level.

This may be because I have to drink it longer to notice many of the benefits.

Ingredients and Benefits of Athletic Greens

Athletic Greens has 75 ingredients and claims to give you the antioxidant equivalent of 12 servings of vegetables in one scoop.

Athletic Greens Review (AG1): My experience after 30 days (3)

There are some great ingredients in the formula, but I'm a bit skeptical about ita large number of ingredients listed in each serving.

At best, there may be one or two ingredients with two low amounts that provide little benefit.

With supplement formulas containing many ingredients, it is difficult to get adequate doses of each ingredient. There is not enough room in the formula to put everything in a 10/12 gram serving!

While Athletic Greens is not certified organic, it does contain some organic ingredients.

Let's take a look at each of the proprietary blends:

Alkalni, ruitni kompleks sirove superhrane (7388 mg)

Organic Spirulina, Lecithin (95% Phosphatide), Organic Apple Powder, Inulin (FOS Prebiotics), Organic Wheatgrass Juice Powder (leaf), Organic Alfalfa Powder (leaf), Organic Chlorella Powder, Organic Barley Leaf Powder, Powdered Acerola Fruit Juice Extract (4:1), Broccoli Flower Powder, papaya powder (Carica papaya) (fruit), fresh pineapple fruit concentrate (9:1), blueberry fruit extract (100:1), beetroot powder (fruit), rose hip fruit (Rosa Canina) powder (4:1), carrot root powder, spinach leaf powder, cocoa bean polyphenol extract, grape seed extract (120 :1), green tea leaf extract (10:1), licorice root powder, lycium fruit extract (4:1) ), ginger rhizome powder, elm bark powder, whole algae plant powder.

Nutrient-rich natural extracts, herbs and antioxidants (411 mg)

Alkaline Pea Protein Isolate, Citrus Bioflavonoid Extract, Artichoke Extract (15:1), Citric Acid, Dry Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract (15:1), Eleuthero Root Extract (Eleutherococcus senticosus) (10:1), Gotu Kola Extract (10:1) 1 ), rosemary leaf extract (4:1), milk thistle seed extract (70:1), R,S alpha-lipoic acid, ashwagandha root extract (5:1), dry dandelion root extract (4:1), hawthorn berry root extract (10:1) , beta glucans, policosanol, coenzyme Q-10, stevia rebaudiana leaf powder.

How does AG1 taste?

Drinking Athletic Greens is super easy becauseit tastes pretty good. Drinking from the glass is pleasant without the grassy or chalky taste common with other powdered green drinks.

In fact, I rated Athletic Greens asgreen powder with the best taste.

Are there side effects?

i experiencedno side effectswith AG1 Athletic Greens powder to drink on an empty stomach in the morning.

This was to be expected as there is nothing in this powder that should cause a problem. I adhered to the recommended serving of about 12g in a 200ml glass of water per day.

Health benefits of Athletic Greens during and after 30 days?

Taking athletic greens isit isit gives you superhuman strength overnight or even after a few weeks of use. So it is difficult to estimate exactly how much healthier or more vibrant you will be if you use Athletic Greens daily.

(Video) I tried Athletic Greens for 3 Months (Unsponsored Review)

Many of the ingredients in the formula will be difficult to consume in your average diet.

Taking Greens Power contains many more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than multivitamins alone.

The effectiveness of green powder comes down to the correct dosage, and with so many ingredients in one serving, it probably issome ingredients are not in the right amounts.

Like withAT extra's, the effectiveness will come down to the nutritional breakdown of the formula.

I was herea bit disappointeds athletic greens.

Using proprietary blends in the AG1 formula means thatimpossible to knowexactly how much of each ingredient is present.

This is a big deal for me, and it should be for you too.

Ingredients don't work just because they are in the formula. They have to be in the right amounts, for example the right effective doses.

I am convinced of the vitamin and mineral content because it is clearly stated on the label (700% of the daily dose of vitamin C, 300% of the daily dose of vitamin E, etc.).

Own blends! Oh no!

Most of the ingredients in AG1 are found in two main blends.

A simple example, reishi mushroom powder in "Digestive Enzyme and Super Mushroom Complex" will definitely be too low in my opinion.

Athletic Greens Review (AG1): My experience after 30 days (4)

Why?

Well, the six-ingredient mix is just 154mg and countingResearch, research,Reishi should be consumed in amounts of 1.5 g to 1.9 gdepending on the amount of extract used.

Another example is that the label does not state clearly whether organic Chlorella is of the "cracked cell" variety.

The cracked cell wall version of chlorella is more bioavailable and therefore preferred.

That's why I like to take supplements that fully disclose their formula on the label, familiarize yourself with this information. This was the main motivating factor behind me to develop my own green powder,Alternative Supergreen Tonicithis one from Huel.

A final word on gut health: The presence of both probiotics and prebiotics may not be as effective as suggested. This is because combining probiotics in vegetable powder can make them inert and therefore of little use.

So if you like digestive health, maybe soit is best to buy a special prebiotic / probiotic supplement.

Athletic Greens Review (AG1): My experience after 30 days (5)

Athletic Greens reviews

I did a quick look online for Athletic Greens reviews, including their official website and Amazon.

As you can imagine, the official site has great reviews, all of which give the supplement 4 or 5 stars.

Common statements like "great product", "expensive but worth it", "drink Athletic Greens every morning", "great taste", etc. etc.

“Expensive but worth it”….. “great taste”

(Video) Why You Should AVOID Athletic Greens (AG1)

Amazon's feedback check could be a little less biasedaverage rating 4 out of 5 stars from 822 reportswhen I wrote my review. (AG1 is not available on Amazon).

I took a quick look at the one star reviews to see what negatives were coming up.

Most of those consumer reviews reported "stomach upset", "didn't notice any difference", "Ingredients are not worth 4x the price of similar products". and "arrived with a hole in the bag".

It tastes like forest excrement and vanilla whey obtained with a little bit of grass clippings 😉

Interestingly, several customers have reported having a "highly artificial taste" and "absolutely horrible taste and the aftertaste is even worse."

The funniest one is "It tastes like forest excrement and vanilla whey made by adding grass clippings" -Proves once again that taste is very personal!

Money back guarantee / return policy

There is a 60-day money-back guarantee, but I found that the site did not provide any information about the terms and conditions for this.

They contacted their support team and explained that they couldreturn my Athletic Greens within 60 dayseither open or unopened.

That said, I see a lot of customers seeing unopened sachets of AG1 online, so I can assure you why that is.

Athletic Greens Review (AG1): My experience after 30 days (6)

Where to buy AG1?

The most obvious choice is fromofficial site.

They used to be available on Amazon, but don't seem to be sold there anymore (as of September 2021).

You can purchase a one-time or monthly subscription to AG1 Athletic Greens or choose their convenient travel pouches.

Of the Super Greens I've tried so far,Athletic Greens is at the top end of the price range.

Is Athletic Greens worth the price?

Super green at super high prices!

This is one of themThe most expensivegreen powder around.

$99 each, daily servings cost $3.30, with a slightly better subscription service at $2.63 per day (excluding shipping).

Also keep in mind that shipping is also added to the total cost of one-time or subscription options, driving the daily cost to more than $3.

This wish is not for those on a budget.

If price is a factor, you might want to check it outAthletic Greens compared to other green powders.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Athletic Greens taste like?

The stevia leaf gives you a mild taste of the main flavors of pineapple, vanilla and papaya with a hint of sweetness.

I liked the taste, but some customers have problems.

Do I have to put the powder in a storage container?

It is recommended that Athletic Greens be stored in a cool environment, so you would ideally put the green powder in a canister and refrigerate.

(Video) An HONEST Review Of ATHLETIC GREENS (AG1)

When should I take Athletic Greens?

It is recommended to take AG1 on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before eating in the morning.

Is AG1 a meal replacement?

Athletic Greens is not intended as a meal replacement. There's no reason why you can't include your portion in a meal replacement shake. You may need to experiment to see what tastes best.

Are Athletic Greens Safe?

Yes, it is 100% safe for most consumers as long as you take it at the recommended dose. There is a caveat here, however, as we don't know the exact arrangement of ingredients in the proprietary blend. If you have a particular allergy or sensitivity to an ingredient, you may need to choose an alternative.

Is AG1 keto and vegan friendly?

The formula is 100% keto and suitable for vegans. Each 12 g serving contains less than 1 gram of sugar.

Can I simply cancel my AG1 subscription?

The cheapest way to buy AG1 is through their monthly subscription. Many consumers are concerned about auto-billing subscriptions. However, Athletic Greens makes it easy to cancel with the click of a button. The company has a good reputation, so I have confidence in their customer service team.

Presuda athletic greens

I'm a fan of Athletic Greens, the company focuses on ingredients rather than over-the-top marketing.

The green powder is easy to mix and tastes great, but I have some reservations.

The formula uses proprietary blends, which meanswe don't see how each ingredient is dosed. Without a completely transparent label and ingredients list, we cannot see whether the correct dosages fall within the formula.

With the focus on so many ingredients in a formula, there are bound to be sacrifices in some ingredient amounts. Ultimately, this means that some ingredients will be less effective.

To pay nearly $100 for a monthly supplement, I want to know exactly what you're consuming. I need to be 100% sure that the ingredients are clinically dosed.

So while I'm a fan of the taste of Athletic Greens (AG1) powder, it's not a green I would use on a regular basis and so I set out to find the most effective green powder.

Some call this an "extreme" step...

Most super green supplements are disappointing.

I learned that the hard way. After creating this blog in 2018, I spent months shopping and testing the most popular brands.

I wasn't happy with the results so I did something you could call "extreme"….

In 2019 I created my own brand that fulfills everything I look for in a super green product:

  • There are no hidden amounts of ingredients- we have full disclosure labels so you know EXACTLY what's in it
  • Quantities of ingredients that make the difference- we include minimum effective amounts, backed by research, and usually MORE
  • Ingredients that boost immunity, boost mental clarity and eliminate brain fog- creating a much more productive and happier lifestyle

No more worries about ineffective ingredients or doses that are too small. I finally have a product that I KNOW does what it was designed to do.

I use it every day and after years of struggling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) I now have my energy (and life!) back.

good news? I've made my brand available to the public so you can see and feel the difference for yourself.
